12 dedicated greyhound protection campaigners held a peaceful protest outside this track.
It seemed a fairly quiet night judging by the car park not looking very full and ONLY 1 half empty coach going in……so a much lower attendance compared to our last protest in January.
Judging by the amount of leaflets being taken by motorists driving into the track and the amount who were slowing down to read the banners, it would suggest that many of them are not regular race-goers and were probably just being enticed in by the special offers the stadium had this evening.
We can only hope many of them will take note of the protest and the leaflets and will not be returning.
Anyone wishing to support the track protests at Peterborough please contact Rose Greyhound Action in Peterborough (G.A.I.P) on 07884163205.

8 campaigners held a successful protest outside Peterborough greyhound stadium this evening.
Many leaflets were given to punters entering the stadium by car and on foot.
It seemed as if the attendances were low … as there didn’t seem to be a constant stream of traffic.
Lots of “hoots of support” from passing motorists.
The group hold protests outside this track about once a month throughout the year, and when not outside Peterborough track, they are at Henlow track on Saturday evenings…doing a fantastic job, raising much needed awareness to people who still dont realise what they are supporting.

Every Saturday a dedicated group of about 10-15 people from the North West are demonstrating and educating race goings outside Belle Vue. Such demonstrations are vital in raising awareness and hit the promoters where it hurts the most – profits. On occasion, visitors from Sweden, Norway, Italy and America have joined forces with the group who have now set up a facebook page to help put an end to racing at the track – please see link below.

A large group of people gathered outside the Irish Embassy in Grosvenor Place, London, this Saturday to protest at proposals by the Irish Greyhound Board to develop greyhound racing in China.
The gathering to include representatives from Action for Greyhounds, Greyhound Compassion and Greyhounds in Need travelled from various UK locations to voice their concerns.
Banners and placards were used to great effect and leaflets highlighting the groups concern for the welfare of greyhounds exported to China were distributed to passing members of the public.
Hundreds of motorists gave their ‘hoot of support’ to the demonstration that was held amid growing international anger against the IGB.
A big thank you to all who donated very generously towards the cost of leaflets, placards and banners.

A group of animal welfare protesters picketed the Irish embassy in London, and the consulate in Boston yesterday - St Patrick’s Day - demonstrating against plans to export Irish greyhounds to China, where they may be beaten.
