Thank you once again to Rosemary for all the valued support you give to AFG.
Another very successfull awareness event, although too damp and cold for Rosemary’s gorgeous greyhound, Sean, to accompany her. Rosemary says she doesnt mind a bit of cold and disscomfort if it means she is helping greyhounds.
Many leaflets were distributed, dozens of petitition forms signed and many generous donations from the supportive public. Rosemary managed to have some help from another supporter on the day this time.
Not content with her event on Saturday, Rosemary returns on Monday to Sheffield centre. Too cold for Sean today.
Rosemary managed to get many of the petitions signed and now even more people are aware of the Irish racing industry’s involvement in wanting to introduce, and promote, greyhound racing in China.
Thank you Rosemary for your dedication to the campaign.
As you can see Rosemary would appreciate some support, as all 3 events she has done alone.
So anyone living in, or near, Sheffield who can spare a little time to help her, please contact AFG and we will put you in touch with her.
Many thanks to Rosemary and her gorgeous rescued, unwanted racing greyhound Sean for doing such a great fundraising event today.
Of course it was Sean who was the centre of attention, and it’s obvious why.
Thank you to the support of the store manager and staff.
Rosemary is a new AFG supporter and this is her 2nd AFG event this year.
She says she was very encouraged and overwhelmed by the support of the public today.
With 3 events in the city centre on Thursday October 27th.
Once again a massive thank you to Lush Store Norwich – to both Management and staff for their great support today.
Not only asking customers to make, and decorate, bath bombs to take home for a £2.00 donation to the in store AFG collection, but also for selling lots of their charity pots of luscious body lotion, with all proceeds donated to AFG and buyers receiving a fabulous free goody bag crammed with wonderful, natural cosmetics which are not tested on animals.
Many of AFG and Lush’s own anti-racing leaflets were distributed to customers, and our hounds were very welcome in the store
It’s exactly 1 year since our last Lush event which was part of their national campaign promoting other greyhound protection campaigners in their 49 stores across the U.K

As well as the Lush event and street collection, we also had a charity stall in the city centre. This always receives lots of interest from the public who come to browse, get their bargains and make a fuss of the dogs.
Thank you to our supporters who make items for us to sell and others who donate good quality items to raise much needed funds.
Already our exclusive Christmas cards are proving very popular.
Thank you Blanche for your hard work and support.
Blanche does this event each month for local charities and good causes. She also supports and raises funds for the local air amulance service, as well as running local fortnightly tabletop sales.
Not bad for a very active retired lady.
Of course Greyhounds Snoopy and pip pictured with Blanche, recieved a lot of admiration whilst visiting this event.
Blanche raised a fantastic £60.00 for AFG.

AFG was outside Pets at Home, Lowestoft, over the last weekend in September and at the Pets at Home Norwich based store this weekend. Interest and donations from members of the public made both weekends very successful. AFG would like to thank the management and staff for the support given and making space available.
AFG had a stand once again at the very popular All About Dogs event held at the Royal Norfolk Showground. As one of the largest events of its kind held annually in Norfolk, it presents an excellent opportunity for raising both the profile of the campaign and much needed funds. Products designed and made specifically for AFG sold well and feedback from the public was very positive. The tombola again proved very popular and greyhounds Gem, Pip, Zulu and Snoop enjoyed much fuss and attention. AFG would like to thank the many stall holders for donating prizes.
This was AFG’s fourth consecutive year at Wroxham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. As a popular area for holiday makers, there was much interest and support from visiting members of the public. Few props are required for this kind of event and in the right location at the right time of the year it can be a very effective way to raise awareness. Accompanying us on different days were Perry, Jani, Zulu, Snoop, Gem, Sophie, Tilly, Raven and Misty. Finding a home for Zim – one of our long term foster dogs – made the week all the more worthwhile.
