Regular peaceful protests are held here on Tuesday and Saturday evenings from 6pm to 7.30 pm by Bournmouth Animal Aid.

An emaciated dog who was found abandoned in Derbyshire was unable to walk and weighed only 5kg (11lb), an animal charity said.

Thanks again to Rosemary and her wonderful greyhound boy Sean for doing another great awareness day.

Rosemary has this to say about todays event:
“We were blessed with good weather, and of course Sean was, as usual, very popular, especially with the children. It’s encouraging that some people may consider adopting a greyhound after meeting Sean. The ice cream van was parked nearby and Sean’s eyes followed every person who went by with an ice cream, the ice cream man became Sean’s best friend today when he gave him a free cornet, which disappeared in seconds.”

REMEMBER RUSTY EVENT – PETS AT HOME – HUNTINGDON MAY 6TH 2012

Campaigners from G.A.I.N (Greyhound Action In Peterborough) held a very successful awareness day and collection.

Many of the Remember Rusty leaflets were distributed today, so now even more people who were unaware of Rusty’s tragic story can remember him and thousands of other greyhounds who have also suffered dreadfully in the name of greyhound racing.

The group would like to thank members of the public for their support and interest and for their very generous donations, enabling them to raise a fantastic £100.00.

They would also like to thank Pets At Home store manager and staff for their kind help and support today.
