AFG MONTHLY STALL on CHARITY STALL, HAYMARKET, NORWICH 05.12.2015
We were lucky enough to have two Saturday charity stalls for this very busy month leading up to Christmas and also lucky to have unusaul mild dry days which is so much in our favour as it means the City is so busy and people have more time to browse on our stall.
AWARENESS/FUNDRAISING DAYS ROYS WROXHAM 10&11.12 2015
Thanks to the great support of Roys, we always have a great space outside their store to accommodate us with our accompanying hounds. Due to the unusually mild weather for this busy month the store was very busy all day with customers who were very supportive of our work.
We meet regular locals as well as holiday makers as we have events here in August as well as in December and Wroxham is such a pretty place with lovely shops and very popular holiday homes and boat yards, so very popular with families and the young and more mature visitors, so we meet such a wide variety of interesting people here.
AWARENESS/FUNDRAISING DAY TESCO, STALHAM 16.12.2015
We had a great area to erect our shelter under the cover outside the store for our annual fundraising event at this very busy store. We were kept very busy today with great support from tesco customers.
We met lots of people who had rescued dogs and many of them had rescued greyhounds and lurchers, so it is very encouraging to learn that so many people are choosing to adopt from rescue centers. Again we had terrific support with very many generous donations made and many of our awareness leaflets distributed.
AFG MONTHLY STALL at CHARITY STALL, HAYMARKET, NORWICH 19.12.2015
Our final awareness/fundraising event for 2015 with our 2nd charity stall for this month.
The City was heaving with public, due to is being so close to Christmas and a glorious sunny day.
The stall was surrounded by street entertainment and some very interesting little street barrows so the whole area had such a great atmosphere today. People seemed to be more generous than ever today and those who couldn’t find anything to buy from our stall, instead made generous donations.
As well as our Autumn and Winter awareness and fundraising events for 2015 we were also kept very busy sending off orders, mainly for our very popular sighthound head and neck gear and jumpers.
Of course the great ‘ Ladies Who Knit’ were crafting like crazy meeting the special orders of the colours and sizes of items we did not have in stock, so with this great team work all customers received their items in time for Christmas meaning lots of beautiful hounds would be kept snug and warm for the cold months to come.
