GREYHOUNDS: Oxford await probe into hound’s death
Greyhounds are susceptible to extreme temperatures, we have seen recent visual evidence of greyhound races taking place in snow and ice, as well as on the hottest days of the year,
Greyhounds are often exposed to long journeys before they reach the track. There are rulings for racing greyhounds food and water to be witheld for long periods prior to racing.
As well as greyhounds being fed before racing (in cases of ‘race fixing’ to slow down fast dogs to lose a race) as well as greyhounds being tested positive for all manner of banned drugs and other substances.
How sad this poor young greyhound boy has lost his life so tragically and in a distressed state at a greyhound track. How sad he was born to become a racing greyhound. How sad the industry refer to this greyhound as ‘IT’.
