The mat has a detachable waterproof under-sheet which attaches to the cool mat with velcro fastening at each corner. So the mat can be used either on its own or with the waterproof sheet.
The cool mat can be separated from the waterproof under-sheet for washing/drying. The mat must be washed in mild detergent by machine or hand at no higher than 40o and dried flat not tumble dried or ironed. A care pamphlet will be supplied with your Cool Houndz mat
When completely dry, the mat will be stiff (like cardboard) but can still be folded. It is advisable after each use, to dry the mat thoroughly before storing until the next use.

The mat (when used with the waterproof under-sheet) is ideal for using on a sofa, carpet, car seat or travel cage. The mat can also be used on its own to place over your hound.
