SUSIE – (named for racing as) Speedy Sonia

Susie came 6th in her last race in October 2003 at Yarmouth stadium. Soon afterwards, she was given away as free to a couple who did not really want to take on a greyhound but just felt sorry for her.

They explained this when they sought the help of AFG. Susie was able to go into a foster home straight away.

Susie, although a very nervous girl, settled well with her new family and the company of other unwanted rescued greyhounds, who steadily helped Susie gain confidence.

According to Susie’s racing records, she’d had her seasons suppressed, which may explain why she had bladder problems when she first went to her foster home. It was not long before Susies foster home became her forever home and since then she has blossomed into the stunning girl she is today as seen in this photo taken of Susie at age 12 1/2 years , which is down to the dedicated experienced care she has received from he devoted carers.
